NTEN: Nonprofit Technology Network

NTEN facilitates the exchange of knowledge and information within our community. We connect our members to each other, provide professional development opportunities, educate our constituency on issues of technology use in nonprofits, and spearhead groundbreaking research, advocacy, and education on technology issues affecting our entire community.

Help NTEN build stronger local community programs!

You're loving #11NTC, right? Wouldn't it be great to have a little more NTC, a little closer to home, all year long? We think so, too. Over the next 12 months, we'll be rethinking our local model and working with community leaders across the country to bring you more opportunities to connect with and learn from the NTEN community, all so you can use technology to create the change you want to see in the world!

Your contribution today will provide us the seed funding to pay for these local gatherings, ensuring that you get to attend more than one NPTech family reunion a year!

And, as always, we want to hear from you. In fact, this initiative came about based on feedback from our annual community survey! If you have ideas, suggestions, or even want to volunteer to help out, email Sarah Janczal, Community Manager at sarah@nten.org.

About NTEN

NTEN helps the nonprofit field navigate today's changes and use technology to create the change they want to see in the world.  Our work is both pragmatic – helping people solve immediate technology problems - and visionary. We shape the trends and big picture thinking our community puts into play. Perhaps our community says it best for us:

  • From taking up the anti-spam torch, to getting a grip on SEO, to crimping my first ethernet cable, most of the seeds of my professional competence were planted at the NTC. I honestly can't imagine how I'd do my job without you.
  • Where do I begin? NTEN has been a constant companion throughout my 8 years working in the nonprofit tech sector. Best practices, reports, engaging debates, leads on vendors, job opps, job recruiting - I have gotten so much out of my involvement with NTEN, and know I will continue to do so in the years to come.
  • Most, if not all, of the information that I know about actually applying technology to nonprofits I have learned from connections I have made through NTEN.
  • I LOVE NTEN...it's the best non-profit organization I've ever been a part of. Thanks for all the great work, support and brilliance.

NTEN has had great success in helping nonprofit staff learn to use technology to support their work.  From server virtualization to social media, NTEN has made a real impact in helping these individuals use technology to make their organizations more efficient and effective. In our 2010 Community Survey, 82% of respondents agreed that NTEN Membership makes them more effective in their job. Additionally, 79% agreed that NTEN has been a major contributor to the nonprofit technology field.
